Have you seen arrow boards with other colors besides just yellow as the text? I am not talking about orange or amber text, I am talking like blue or red. I am just curious to see if it exists.

Arrow Boards on the 4th July
When you think of the 4th of July, you probably don’t think about arrow boards. But, on this trip to Ohio I feel like I am going to end up seeing more arrow boards than fireworks.
So far I have been driving for about 2 hours (actually less) and have seen at least 10 arrow boards. This is not including the arrow boards I have seen on trucks and plows.
Arrow Boards are Versatile
Did you know that not only can arrow boards be put up along the road to inform oncoming traffic, they can also go a lot of other places. For example, there are vehicle and truck mounted arrow boards. You may see these while driving past a paving project.
You could even see a vehicle mounted arrow board during a snow storm because a lot of times they are mounted to the back of the plow trucks on the highway. It is pretty hard to not see an arrow board when you are traveling on the road these days.
Arrow Boards Are For Safety
You may not know much about arrow boards, but it is important to know they are there for your safety. On your commute to work, you may notice big traffic message boards that say “click it or ticket.” These are actually not arrow boards, although most think they are.
An arrow board is just an arrow that is presented on an LED screen. There are not words on them at all, all they can show is arrows. They are usually put on the back of snow plows, a paver etc. to tell people to move to the next lane.

It may be hard NOT to see arrow boards this summer. They are on almost every turnpike and highway, warning us that there is construction ahead or that we need to buckle up or we will get a ticket.
Arrow boards are typically used to warn oncoming traffic that there is something they should watch out for. Like mentioned above, it could be a reminder or it could be about construction, but I have even seen it about oncoming unfortunate weather.

What do arrow boards say? Well, it depends on the situation. Actually, that is for message boards, which are commonly called arrow boards as well. Arrow boards just display arrows letting the traffic know where to go.
You will most likely see arrow boards in your city or on the highway, but typically small towns don’t have enough money or enough of a need to have one. Try and pay attention to these arrow boards when you see them because they are always helping you out.

To find the best deal, try going to your local traffic safety or industrial suppliers store. See what the prices are at there, and then go online and find out what the cost to have them shipped would be. Shipping these items is obviously quite expensive, so always take this into consideration when comparing arrowboards

A lot of people do not know what traffic message boards are. Well, they are those blinking signs on the side of the highway, those large boards that have messages on them, telling you to slow down or that traffic is near. Sometimes they care called arrow boards or advisory arrows.
Traffic message boards can be attached to trailers, mounted on trucks, or just simply sit there on the side of the highway. Something not known about a traffic message board (at least not commonly known) is that it can cost as much as $20k. Some of them have laptops to help with putting up the message.

I used to think that arrow boards were rather unnecessary. That was until I was coming home last weekend only to find that the exit to my house was closed for construction. Luckily, there were several arrow message boards set up prior to where I was supposed to get off.
Each arrow board had a snippet of information that told drivers where roads were closed and which alternate routes were optimal. This advanced warning allowed me to get off several exits early and take a shortcut that saved me at least twenty minutes. Although I still think that arrow boards are often overused, I now see their pragmatic qualities.
