What does ‘TY 1’ mean?
TY 1 means Type 1 letting you know that sheeting is on one of the two front boards. A Type 2 (TY 2) unit has sheeting on the top and bottom boards.
What do the numbers mean before the sheeting?
8/8x24” means the sheeting on the top is 8x24”, and the sheeting/board size on the bottom is 8x24”. If it’s a type 1 barricade, the bottom board is 8x24” but is unsheeted.
Please explain reflectivity to me.
There are three grades of reflectivity, in order of least to most reflective: Engineer Grade, Hi Intensity, Diamond Grade.
Can I mount a flasher on this unit?
Yes you can mount a barricade light on this barricade, via a bolt through the hole the ‘A’ at the top of the leg forms.
Can you explain the gauge of legs?
Thickness and gauge are the same thing. If you are looking for a sturdier-than-average leg, go for the 12 gauge.
