Problems with Type 3 Barricades

type 3 barricades, type 3 barricade, type 2 barricades, type 2 barricade, type 1 barricade, type 1 barricades, traffic barricade, traffic barricadesWith any product you buy, there can be issues.  Sometimes we are able to get things fixed right away because there are warranties or we can just bring them back from where we bought them.  But, as is the case with most type 3 barricades, they are bought on the internet and shipping them back to fix problems can be hard.

If you have a problem assembling a type 3 barricade, your first move should be looking for any literature that came with the product.  If you can’t find anything or it doesn’t solve the problem, try calling the company that first called you then if that doesn’t work, try calling the direct manufacturer of the product.

type 3 barricades, type 3 barricade, type iii barricade, type iii barricades, type 2 barricades, type 2 barricade, type 1 barricade, type 1 barricades, traffic barricade, traffic barricadesWhat are the applications for a type 3 barricade?  Well, the truth is they can be used for a lot of things, but are primarily used for one thing.  Probably the most used application is for shutting down roads.

When you pull around the corner and a 10 foot wide barricade is blocking the road, there is no getting around it.  Usually they set up at least 3 of them, and they all have road closed signs on them and/or barricade lights.  Other applications, which I will blog about later, are permanent settings such as mounting it.

type 3 barricades, type 3 barricade, type iii barricade, type iii barricades, type 2 barricades, type 2 barricade, type 1 barricade, type 1 barricades, traffic barricade, traffic barricadesIf you see a lot of type 3 barricades on the highways or streets, you should be able to guess why.  You also should be able to guess why after reading my title.  Type III barricades, type II barricades and type I barricades are found all the time during construction season.

Though construction season can be a pain in the you-know-what, you have to realize that they are bought with your tax dollars, and the roads are being fixed, so this should lift your spirits a little.  Or, maybe you won’t feel any better, but just at least realize they are there for your safety, each and every type 3 barricade.

type 3 barricades, type 3 barricade, type iii barricade, type iii barricades, type 2 barricades, type 2 barricade, type 1 barricade, type 1 barricades, traffic barricade, traffic barricadesThere are many different items you can put on your type 3 barricades to “beef” them up.  In fact, some of these can go on type 1 barricades, type 2 barricades, as well as type III barricades.  Flags, or orange safety flags, are often put at the top of type 3 barricades to beef them up.

Road closed signs, mounted right in the middle of the barricade, are popular for when roads are closed off so that pedestrians know exactly what is going on.  Another common type of sign is an orange sign mounted on each side of the barricade.  Barricade lights provide a warning at night – they flash so that attention is brought to them.

Type 3 barricade – buy local or online?

type 3 barricades, type 3 barricade, type iii barricade, type iii barricades, type 2 barricades, type 2 barricade, type 1 barricade, type 1 barricades, traffic barricade, traffic barricadesA lot of times you can find great deals online, saving 50% or more.  It’s always important to check online for the prices before you buy it locally, but also realize shipping into the cost.  A type 3 barricade, for example, is obviously going to cost a lot of money to ship versus a bottle of vitamins.

For traffic safety products, I have found that the local markup is usually so high that even after weighing in the cost to ship the products over, it is still cheaper to buy online.  But, obviously, another advantage to buying locally is that you get them right away, something that is hard to do online (you can try to ship overnight, but the shipping is out of this world).
