Type 3 Barricade Features
There are many different features that can come on your type 3 barricade. For example, did you know you can usually pick a 14 or 12 guage foot on the legs of your traffic barricade? Well, you probably didn’t, and you probably don’t know what that is.
12 guage just means the leg is slightly thinner than the 14 guage. The legs on type 3 barricades are typically steel, so deciding the guage is a way of deciding how tough you want the legs to be. This is just one of many options that are out there when looking for traffic barricades.
Type 3 Barricades and their names
It is really interesting to see what people search for, and that is what I did today, I saw how people searched for the term type 3 barricades. What is interesting is that there are more searches for type iii barricade (type III barricade) than type 3 barricade. In fact there were double the amount of searches.
Something else that was interesting was that the category underneath type 3 barricades – traffic barricades – was searched less than half of the time. This doesn’t make any sense at first, but if you think about it it is probably just because those who are searching for these types of items are detailed in their searches because they know what they are talking about.
Components of a Type 3 Barricade
Believe it or not, there is more to a type 3 barricade than just wood. First off, type 3 barricades can either be plywood or plastic. Then, you can choose to have steel or plastic legs on them, this decision is usually made for which is lighter, because of the shipping costs.
Type 3 barricades also have reflective tape on them, so there is more than one component to traffic barricade. You have the wood or plastic, steel or plastic legs, and the reflective tape. Now you can think of all that goes into a type 3 barricade when you see it on the street.
Type 3 Barricades..what are they?
Type 3 barricades are commonly seen blockading something. It could be a road, a driveway, an off ramp or really anything that needs to be blocked. They are made out of wood or plastic and usually have reflective sheeting on them.
They are one of the more popular safety items that you will see on the road, but they are mainly used for blocking traffic from going somewhere. The most common place you will see these will be in a village or town, but you could see them on a highway as well.
Type 3 Barricade Queires Part 2
I decided to continue this post from before because there are definitely a lot of questions that can be answered relating to a type 3 barricade. What are my reflective tape options for type 3 barricades? You can usually get engineer grade, hi intensity grade, or diamond grade sheeting.
What is the difference between these grades? They cost a lot more as you increase the grade, but the amount they reflect also drastically increases. What are type 3 barricades made of? You can get plywood or plastic type 3 barricades, though plastic is a lot more popular these days because of its light weight.
