A lot of times you can find great deals online, saving 50% or more.  It’s always important to check online for the prices before you buy it locally, but also realize shipping into the cost.  A type 3 barricade, for example, is obviously going to cost a lot of money to ship versus a bottle of vitamins.

For traffic safety products, I have found that the local markup is usually so high that even after weighing in the cost to ship the products over, it is still cheaper to buy online.  But, obviously, another advantage to buying locally is that you get them right away, something that is hard to do online (you can try to ship overnight, but the shipping is out of this world).
