Ultra Panels or Traffic Panels
This post is dedicated to having a better understanding of ultra panels. These can also be called vertical panels or traffic panels. They are typically about 43″ tall and 8″ wide and are usually orange or white. Lots of times there is reflective sheeting put on them to help with the visibility of the units.
The reflective sheeting can come in different sizes to cover as much or as little of the ultra panel as you want. You will also need to pick out which base you want, as these are not meant to be held up without a base. It is of course possible, but the smallest wind will knock it over.
Some vendors have custom messages you can put on the reflective sheeting, with text as well as images. The colors can also be changed from just the common white/orange to blue, yellow, grey and more.
Ultra Panel Questions
If you have a question about an ultra panel, try checking back to this post or posting a comment below and I will answer to the best of my knowledge. If you are wondering what they look like, just take a look at the picture to the left. What colors do they come in? They can usually be found in white and orange.
Is there reflective sheeting? Yes, there is usually a white/orange combo of reflective sheeting on these ultra panels to make them easier to be seen during the night. Do they have weights? Yes, and the amount/variety of weights depends on the manufacturer.
Ultra Panel Options
Ultra panels are those panels you see on the road that are white and orange striped. The orange and white stripes on an ultra panel are drawn onto the reflective tape. Sometimes you may see “kids at play” or other messages displayed on these ultra panels, because there are different options available.
Ultra panels also have weights that you can get with them, a way of weighing them down so that they don’t blow away or get knocked over. The best way to find out what you can and cannot get on your ultra panel is to ask you dealer.
