Arrow Boards Warnings
Arrow boards are technically arrows that light up on an LED sign, but may confuse them with traffic message boards. Traffic message boards display messages such as “paving from 8:00PM to 4:00AM” or something similar. They are used to inform traffic about changing road conditions.
Arrow boards can either be mounted to the back of trucks or can stand alone on the road. The only thing ‘true’ arrow boards warn about is to get in the other lane. They are usually behind a salt truck or snow plow let you know that you should switch lanes.
Bases on Traffic Drums
Though it depends on the manufacturer of the traffic drums, here is an idea of the different options you may get when purchasing traffic drums. There are different types of bases, but the snap on base typically comes in 25, 30 and 40 lb options. The sand bag option is cheaper to ship because it allows the base to be filled with sand, therefore making the base weigh less.
There are also typical tire ring bases which are just drop overs. They weigh about 2 lbs. There are also tire ring bases which are around 28lbs.
Type 3 barricades…what?
Some people may not know exactly what type 3 barricades are. Well, first off what is a traffic barricade? A traffic barricade is commonly seen in towns blocking off roads or pot holes from cars. They can be either type 1, type 2 or type 3 barricades.
The type signifies how many boards it has. A type 3 barricade has 3 boards and typically blocks off roads that are under construction. Check out the picture above and next time you see one of those you will know it’s a type 3 barricade!
Reflective Tape on Everything
Reflective tape is usually bought in rolls or single bands, and it is primarily used in traffic safety products. These products include traffic barrels, traffic drums, traffic cones, delineator posts, traffic safety vests and a lot more.
It is typically cheaper to buy the reflective tape in rolls, and then cut it yourself, but if you don’t want to cut it yourself the single bands may be a better choice. Try adding up how many feet or yards are in a roll and then comparing prices to see if it is worth it.
Delineator Posts Provide Convenience
