Arrow Boards are Versatile

arrow boards, arrow board, arrowboards, arrowboard, traffic message boards, mounted arrow boardsDid you know that not only can arrow boards be put up along the road to inform oncoming traffic, they can also go a lot of other places.  For example, there are vehicle and truck mounted arrow boards.  You may see these while driving past a paving project.

You could even see a vehicle mounted arrow board during a snow storm because a lot of times they are mounted to the back of the plow trucks on the highway.  It is pretty hard to not see an arrow board when you are traveling on the road these days.

delineator posts, delineator post, delineator, delineator tube, delineator tubesDid you know that there are 3 different options when it comes to buying delineator posts?  This shocks some people because they would think that all delineator posts are the same.  One of the options is reflective tape – you can get (2) 3″ bands or (2) 4″ bands depending on the manufacturer/distributor.

Another choice is the color of the post, sometimes they are orange, yellow or white.  You can also choose the size of the post as well as the base.  More details to come in a later post.

Solar Barricade Lights – Why the Hoods?

Monday, June 14, 2010 By: Transportation Supply

solar barricade lights, solar barricade light, barricade lights, type b barricade lightsI have had a lot of people ask me why there are hoods on some solar barricade lights and not on others.  Well, it has to do with the type of solar barricade light.  The type b barricade lights have hoods while the regular lights do not.

Why is this?  This is because it allows a bigger solar panel to be mounted on top.  It also does a better job of directing the light so that it is as bright as possible.

traffic drums, traffic barrels, traffic drum, traffic barrel, channelizerIt’s easy to get frustrated on your commute to work about the immense amount of construction.  I know that people get frustrated because even though I like to see what equipment they are using, I can’t help but think of how much quicker my commute could me.

But think about what these traffic drums do for you.  They offer protection from ditches, construction equipment etc.  If they were not there it would be quite dangerous.

Type 3 Barricades What’s the Difference?

type 3 barricades, type 3 barricade, traffic barricade, traffic barricades, type 1 barricade, type 2 barricades, type 2 barricadeIf one was searching for type 3 barricades they may wonder, what is the difference between these traffic barricades?  For example there are type 1 barricades, type 2 barricades and then type 3.  There are a couple difference but there is one that is the most obvious.

A type 3 barricade has 3 boards across it, a type 2 has two boards and a type 1 has one board.  Type 3 are usually wider than type 1 or two.  I also notice that type 3 is commonly used to block off roads.
